10 Magic Mantras Monks Use To Make Their Minds Masterful

There are nine mantras that we spiritualists have used for millennia to strengthen our minds, heightening focus, concentration, and intelligence.

When I wrote the internet’s best guide to  mantras, I covered for all different areas of life and from Hinduism, Buddhism, yoga and more.

As you know, mantras are sounds or words that are repeated during meditation. And they create many profound benefits for your health, body, mind, and for your life overall.

Just by reciting one we can bring about real-world changes in our lives, and quite quickly.

One of my favorite things about them is that they can help us to maintain good mental health. Indeed, I’ve uses mantras for intelligence, happiness, depression, anxiety…for everything.

Let’s look at 9 of my favorite mantras for the mind that can boost our mood, our intelligence, and more.

My Favorite Mantras for Your Mind

1: Mantras For Intelligence

Some mantras can make you more intelligent. (read: Meditation for intelligence)

For instance, the Saraswati Mantra for intelligence gets your energy resonating at a frequency that improves brain function.

Saraswati is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, wisdom, and the arts [1]. By reciting the Saraswati mantra, it is said that we will be blessed with intelligence by Saraswati.

The Saraswati mantra for intelligence is used to ensure success in studies and in learning. And it has been shown by research to increase test results in schools.

2: Mantra For Fear

One of the most important paths to enlightenment is to use meditation for fear removal.

Fear is one of the worst things for your mind. Fear holds you back and stops you from achieving your goals and ambitions.

There are many mantras for fear. One is:

“Om Shoun Shokvinashibhyam Namaha”.

Recite this mantra 108 times



3: Mantras for Happiness

In order to have a truly healthy mind, we must be happy. And thankfully there are many mantras for happiness.

One of the best mantras for happiness is Ong.

This is a Gayatri mantra, so we must sing it.

I recommend learning about the most important mantras for happiness.


4: Mantras For Depression

Depression is one of the worst things anyone can go through. My heart bleeds for anyone who is suffering from depression. In fact, one of the reasons I work so hard on this blog is to help people overcome depression.

My number one tip is to use meditation for depression.

Japa can help too.

There are several mantras for depression. And they come from all different spiritualities. Some art Hindu. Some are from Kundalini Yoga. Some are Buddhist.

One of my favorite mantras for depression is “om chaitanya sainath namah”.

This is a Sai Baba mantra for depression. Sai Baba was an Indian spiritual master who was regarded by his devotees to be an incarnation of God. 

Meditate while reciting the above for a spiritual cure to depression.

5:  Mantras For Friendship 

The Vashikaran friendship mantra is one of the best ones for attracting friends into your life.

The Vashikaran friendship mantra is “om Aim Hreem Kleem Chaundaaya Vashyan Kuru Kuru Swaha”.

6: Mantras For Forgiveness

Forgiveness is one of the most important traits in the world. Everyone makes mistakes. The easier we can forgive people the more peaceful our lives will be.  

One of the best mantras for forgiveness is hooponopono. It is, “”I’m sorry. I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you”


7: Mantras For Negative Energy

We all face negative energy at times. And the best way to overcome negative energy is with mantras. However, the exact mantras you use will depend on your situation. 

For instance, if your negative energy is about being creatively stifled, a good choice would be “I release the creatively stifled. I become the creatively liberated”. This lets go of the negative energy and attracts positive energy.

8: Mantras For Creativity

Creativity is one of the best traits you can possess. When you are creative you are able to find solutions to problems, think outside the box, and come up with new ideas.

There are many mantras for creativity. One of my favourites is the Kundalini Yoga mantra “Har Haray Hari Waheguru”.


9: Mantras For Concentration

It can be difficult to concentrate sometimes, can’t it? The average human attention span is 12 seconds. But there are mantras for concentration that will improve your attention span.

One of the best mantras for concentration is a Garuda Purana mantra. It is “Om Kship Swaha”.
