- If you have a psychic dog or psychic cat, this special petting technique will help you to feel the psychic connection between you and your cat / dog.
Ten minutes ago I was sitting here typing away on my latest article, starting to feel a little stressed and, truth be told, a little mindless.
Then something happened—something wonderfully simple but oh so lovely. My two cats, Willow and Sebastian, walked past lstopped, stared up at me, and started petting my legs like they wanted to play.
Maybe my cats knew, deep down in their furry little hearts, that I needed some snuggle loving right there and then. After all, some animal behaviourists, including Rupert Sheldrake, believe that a psychic bond does exist between pets and their owners and that cats may be telepathic and clairvoyant.
So maybe my cats genuinely knew that I needed them right there and then. And they came in order to snap me out of me near coma-inducing workload.
Either way, no sooner had my cats Willow and Sebastian walked past me than I immediately stopped thinking about work, turned away from the computer, breathed a little deeper, and relaxed.
Cats have been scientifically proven to lower stress levels. When you’re around a cat (presuming you’re a cat lover—and why wouldn’t you be?) your stress levels rapidly decrease, your breathing regulates, and tension in your body is released.
Cats do all that for us.
Well, we all know that in truth cats do more for us than we ever do for them, right? Sure, we feed our cats and look after them and, yes, love them, but they do so much for us. Their some of our best companions, they’re always there for us, and they’re always fun and loving.
So naturally, your cats deserve some really good petting. Although some studies have shown that certain cats become stressed when you pet them, most cats enjoy it. And they deserve the best pets possible.
So how do you pet a cat with optimum loving?
Do it mindfully.
Use your snuggle time with your cats to practice mindfulness. This will make your time together more relaxing for both you and your cat.
Petting your cat is already a relaxing experience. Rhythmic stroking has been scientifically proven to relieve anxiety. The soft feel of a cat’s fur and the repetitive motion of petting can soothe even the worst stress.
And when you pet a cat mindfully, you relax even more.
Mindfulness is actually one of the most relaxing practices in the world. So naturally, when you mindfully pet your cat you’re going to feel as though you’ve slipped your jammies on and floated up to cloud 9 with a cup of mommas warm cocoa in your hand .
But how do you pet a cat mindfully?
It’s really easy! All you need to do is to meditate while you pet your cat. Just focus on the feeling of your cat’s warm hair as you stroke it. Meditate on that silky smooth fur.
One thing I personally love to do while petting my cats is to very lightly lean down and place my head on my cats stomach. You can then listen to your cats heartbeat! This will make you feel one with your cat.
And speaking of feeling one with your cat. Did you know that some animal behaviourists have suggested that you are psychically connected to your cat even when you are nowhere near them? You and your cats experience a state of natural oneness. There’s a psychic link between you and your cats that is always presence. It’s an energy that binds you and your cats.
The energy that connects you to your cats only grows stronger when you pet your cats, and when you pet them mindfully and listen to their heartbeats it grows stronger still!
That’s why whenever you pet a cat you should do it mindfully.
Pet your cat with both your body and your mind. Then you and your cats / dogs will exist in a state of pure oneness. And that is divine.
