Yoga mats and resistance bands have been rising up Amazon’s bestsellers list amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Self-isolation means everyone is working out at home, and one of the most popular ways of working out is with yoga [READ: 28 styles of yoga list].
But while the demand for yoga products is hot, Amazon may be about to stop selling them. And it’s not just Amazon. Lululemon has closed, and most other yoga and mindfulness stores have locked their doors too.
Basically: Buy Now Or Never
As it stands, there is a seriously limited supply of yoga and mindfulness products, and stock is running out because of the buying frenzy.
Yoga mats are currently on Amazon’s best-selling products. The ranking of yoga mats rose 43.75% from 32 to 18, which is the highest position they have been on Amazon for over a year. Resistance bands are rising too. Over the past seven day, they have risen from a ranking position of 62.9 to 42.6, with sales increasing 32%.
Meditation tools are also on the rise. Self-isolation means people are looking for things to do at home. And amidst the anxiety of the pandemic, one of the most popular options is to start meditating. The rise in meditation is causing products like meditation cushions and other items to sell in droves [click here to see the top selling meditation products on Amazon].
However, while meditation and yoga products are insanely popular right now, it could very well be your last chance to buy them for a while.
Amidst the COVID-19 global emergency, local stores are closing down, and Amazon stated Tuesday that they will stop bringing non-essential items into their factories and instead will be focusing on household essentials like food and, yes, toilet paper.
The vast majority of meditation and yoga products are not essential, and they are provided to Amazon by third party manufacturers, which Amazon is currently stopping.
What all of that means is that if you need to buy meditation or yoga products, well, you’d better hurry up and do it because soon there won’t be anywhere to buy them until the coronavirus pandemic settles down, and right now no one knows when that will be.
