When you’re looking for the best yoga streaming platforms and apps in 2010, you’re spoiled for choice. Apps like Yoga Download and Yoga Collective offer plenty of high-quality content. And then there are the likes of the new app Hello Yoga and Peloton.
Which one should you use?
Choosing the best yoga streaming platforms is a matter of personal preference. There are various apps designed with different yogis in mind.
Let’s take a look at the best yoga streaming platforms of 2021.
Best Yoga Streaming Platforms 2021
Yoga Download focuses on a combination of both affordability and flexibility. That’s why they offer their services for a very reasonable price, and they also have some 20-minute yoga workouts that are free. You also have the option of downloading your workouts, and there are more than 1500 yoga videos available.
The membership options have different price points. There’s a price point at $12 per month, for which you can view all of the videos and download two. Meanwhile, the $18 price-point gives you all the videos plus the ability to download as many of them as you like.
Yoga Download is one of the biggest and best yoga streaming platforms in the world, with a community of more than 250,000 followers.
- Free trials
- $12 per month for all videos + 2 downloads
- $18 per month for unlimited videos + unlimited downloads
- 3-month membership fee: $40
- 6-month membership fee: $70
- Annual membership fee: $120
Yoga Collective, similar to Yoga Download, has a lot of different yoga workouts with many different teachers. The classes range from 5 minutes to an hour, so there are plenty of options for whatever you’re looking for. There are customization options so you can build your routine however you like, whether you want an easy 5-minute workout or a hard 60-minute one.
With Yoga Collective, you also get access to meditation videos, Pilates videos, and some Kundalini yoga classes. In total there are around 1000 classes. The teachers give precise guidelines so you can rest assured that you will be doing them correctly. The one thing I didn’t like about what I saw in my free trial was that most of the videos are shot with the same background, which gets repetitive.
- 15-day free trial
- $15 per month
- $150 annually
Of course, none of these are better than an actual lesson at a local yoga class.
Hello Yoga, is a new yoga streaming platform released in 2020. This app focuses on giving you live one-on-one yoga lessons in your own home.
The app starts at $89 per month with a 3-day free trial. You probably noticed that the free trial doesn’t last as long as other free trials. But there is a good reason for that. The Hello Yoga app gives you private one on one tuition with qualified yoga teachers, so you are getting a very high quality of tuition, arguably better than any other yoga streaming app.
The app itself is very intuitive and easy to use. You get to choose the type of yoga you want to do, your teacher, and the time of your lesson (which are scheduled because classes are live and one-on-one).
This is the best yoga streaming app if you want very high-quality tuition and don’t mind paying extra for the monthly subscription.
Peloton is a yoga streaming app available for Android TVs and smartphones via the Play Store. It also has biking, meditation, and other workouts.
With the Peloton streaming yoga classes, you get to workout with qualified personal trainers in your home, but classes are not one-on-one like they are on Hello Yoga.
You can choose to either stream live classes via the Peloton yoga studio in New York, or watch pre-recorded content. New content is added frequently so there are always new yoga workouts to stream. And there are meditations too. The classes offer a nice variety, with long and short lessons and different challenge levels. And the teachers are very highly regarded.
Alo Moves covers everything from mindfulness and meditation to yoga, so it’s your go-to for total wellbeing.
I particularly like the “Skills” section, which provides in-depth guides for individual moves, so if you’ve ever wondered how to handstand, you’ll learn everything you need to know.
I loved the instructors on Alo Moves and found that it had the perfect variety of beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes, so whatever level you’re at you will find suitable content.
Which is your favourite?
Honestly, this is a very close call. The majority of streaming yoga apps offer similar content with a couple of differences. They all have on-demand classes with excellent tuition and a lot of variety.
Yoga Download seems to be the popular pick for best yoga streaming platform at the moment. Although I am very intrigued to see what happens with Hello Yoga, which is a brand new app and already looking good.Follow us
